This harbour
is one of the three in Rhodes and the only Yacht harbour. It was marked one of
the Seven Wonders of the World. The statue of Rhodes once stood in this place.
The travellers will today find St. Nicholas fortress at the entrance of the harbour
and the old windmills that were used by the locals to grind grains. It was once
a military harbour and would at night be closed by chains. It still stands as
one of the most active harbours on the island.
Tsambika
Monastery

then Tsambika Monastery is the place to be. It is located about 25 km from
Rhodes city. The monastery is topped by a small Byzantine Church that was
constructed as a special dedication to Our Lady. The stories of the hiss say

should be named after the monastery.
Lindos
Beach
The beach
is located about 31 miles south of the city. Most of the tourists who visit the
city also visit Lindos beach because of its ancient ruins. The beach has a rich

for the Phoenicians and the Greeks. It is now an archaeological site and a busy
place for the British tourists who spend most of their summers here.
